I am the founder of Greenroom and I write most of what you read on this blog. This page exists so you know who is behind the advice, and on what basis I am giving it.
Why I work on interview preparation
Greenroom started with my own interviews. I had built things I was genuinely proud of — and then froze the moment someone asked me to talk about them out loud. I would walk out knowing I had underperformed, aware that the gap between what I could do and what I could say under pressure had just cost me the role.
It was not a knowledge problem. Interviews test how clearly you can explain a real decision under constraints, and almost nobody rehearses that. So I built the interviewer I wish I had had: a voice AI that runs a spoken mock interview from what you have actually built, and applies the kind of pressure a strong interviewer would.
What I write about, and where it comes from
The guides here cover the questions candidates actually get asked — career gaps, low CGPA, job hopping, salary expectations, company-specific processes — plus the technical fundamentals that come up in Indian fresher and early-career hiring.
What I write is grounded in three things:
- Running the product. Greenroom conducts spoken mock interviews and scores them. Watching where candidates stall, ramble, or lose the thread is the single most useful input I have, and it is not something you can get from reading job boards.
- Talking to candidates. Most posts start from a question someone actually asked me, not from a keyword tool.
- Published research, cited plainly. Where I lean on outside work — for instance studies on interview anxiety — I link it and say what it does and does not show. I do not dress up third-party research as evidence about Greenroom.
What I am not
I am not a recruiter, and I have never sat on a hiring panel at any of the companies covered in the company-specific guides. Those posts are assembled from publicly reported candidate experiences and company career pages. Where a process detail is likely to have changed, or varies by role and campus, I say so rather than stating it as fact. Treat them as a well-researched starting point, not insider information.
